Dear Lord Taylor, I am writing to thank you one more time for the opportunity of working with you. It was a great experience for me and I really learnt a lot of things that will be really helpful for me in my future. I'll keep in touch and from time to time I'll tell a couple of stories about myself and how I'm doing here. Know that you have a friend here in Venezuela and please do not hesitate to contact me in the future if you ever need anything that you think I can be helpful with. Very best Regards, Miguel

Dear Lord Taylor, I would like to thank you very much for the invitation to the Warwick Leadership Foundation Christmas reception. it has been an honour for me to be part of it once again. As usual I have been impressed by your speech but i have also enjoyed Alison's performance and the girl playing the harp - I think it gave an "extra spice" to the evening. i believe that involving so many students from all over the world, especially from eastern europe, in the WLF activities has been a tremendous idea. i am a big supporter of that. As you already now, i have been involved in the accountancy and taxation affairs since i left the WLF team in August 2002, and i am also almost half way through in my studies for ACCA quallification. If you think that i could ever be of any assisstance to wlf i am always there to help. With best regards Kris Wach

Subject: The debate poster Dear Sir, Thank you once again for judging the final debate at our school. It was an honour. I hope that you will be able to judge some more debates in the future. I think I speak on behalf of the sixth form by saying you are a role model to all of us, whatever race or colour. Coming from the back streets of Birmingham, this has given us the inspiration to aspire to our potential. Thank you. Yours gratefully Charles Maclennan

Dear Lord Taylor, I would like to thank you again for your kindness in speaking to my students. I mentioned to you at the time that I thought you would be an inspiration to them as a successful black man, and indeed this is exactly what they told me when they were talking to me afterwards about the afternoon. As parents, we know how important good role models are, and you are certainly that. I was also glad that they had the opportunity to be listened to and taken seriously, very important for their self-esteem. It would mean a lot to us to have a copy of the photograph you had taken of all of us with you and be able to display it somewhere prominent in the school. We would be delighted if you would come to the school to speak to the students. I shall be making a polite request sometime in the future. Once again, thank you for your kindness, and your support of your local school! Best wishes,

My family & I, as well as our congregation, I know, enjoyed very much your presentation this morning at services at New Heart Worship Center. What a message to all those who think they can't rise above their present condition! I love to hear of how God shows his grace, power, and even humour by lifting someone into the realms the world likes to think is their private monopoly! May God spread the spirit of victorious overcoming evident in your life to thousands (or millions)!

I visited your website today and I am highly impressed by the high level of success in what you do and particularly your support for good causes. I am one of very few black people working with the University of Cambridge. We are planning some events to raise awareness on ethnic minority issues including Black History Month. I hope to contact you to participate by delivery a talk if you are available in the month of October/November 2004. I enjoyed your site and please keep up the good work

Leroy Brown

Dear Lord Taylor, firstly I would like to congratulate you on your successful nomination of " I'm a Uncle Tom, what are you?" award. I would like stress that this is not a hoax, you have rightly been nominated for this award. Ps Please, please, please impart me with some well needed insight on how to be the only so called self respecting black person in the conservative party. By this I'm not saying that there is a particular way a black person should behave or speak, but to join the "Privately educated National Front" party is somewhat of a baffling move, please shed some light on this for me. I noticed that in one of the pictures in your gallery section that you were the only person of colour present, again clarity is needed for me. If this is a well calculated move on your part, to get yourself in league with these people, so that you can be spokesman for people of colour, then I congratulate you. Alas I 'm pretty sure that is not your motives as you have done nothing to help black people with there stuggle to over many of the obstacles put in front of them. Many thanks L Brown

Dear Lord Taylor,I welcomed your comments, reported on the “Today” programme, 12.06.02, where you were reported as saying you thought the issue behind the current asylum seeker situation was one of legal complexity. David Blunkett is to be commended for reform, but I want you to know how relieved I felt at your suggestion of the urgent need to sort out the legal side of all this. Yours sincerely Mrs Jean C

Ms Sharon B.

Dear Lord Taylor I feel moved to express how much I enjoyed your visit to Christian Life City on Sunday, 7 July 2002. I drew great inspiration from the aspects of your life that were similar to my own – being born in England of Jamaican parentage, experiencing an essentially single-family upbringing and the exposure to early Christian influences, amongst other things. However, I was more greatly encouraged by the profound testimony you provided as to the heights we can attain when we allow God full control of our lives, no matter our initial circumstances. As a first-year law student wishing to become a barrister myself, you demonstrated how far I too might climb as a black person, but more importantly as a Christian. I sincerely hope to touch lives and impact people through my chosen profession the way you clearly have done and continue to do. Nevertheless, wherever life leads me from this point forward in the attainment of my goals, I will always consider it a move of God that you came and spoke at CLC the day you did. May our Father and King continue to bless you. Yours sincerely Sharon B

I listened to your discussion with Nick Cohen on the BBC world service this morning and was interested enough in what you said to search for you on the web. Also I am a graduate of Warwick University (MA Industrial Relations 1977)I am afraid that I strongly support a republic for Australia, and think that the actual importance of the Queen Mother, as oppossed to her historical interest, is greatly exaggerated. I suspect that over the next few months and years you will have to endure a fair amount of revisionism as far as her role is concerned. Apart from that I found your site fascinating. Good luck, Geoff Anderson

Eamon Bermingham

Dear John, Thank you for your most interesting and passionate talk at our AGM on 16th of May, Maidenhead Town Hall. It was well received and overdue. Over 200 years ago, a Tory Whig, Edmund Burke, said 'it is necessary only for the good man to do nothing for evil to triumph'. It takes a long time for change to take place, but we are fortunate to have you. Eamon Bermingham Retiring Chairman Mid Thames Branch

I remember hearing Martin Luther King's speech when I was 13 years old. It made an impression on me, even though I was living at the time, on the Channel Island of Guernsey, and I had little contact with people of different races and cultures. With the world in a state of distrust and turmoil, especially since 9/11, I think it is necessary to go beyond his dream. I have composed a poem to that effect. Beyond the Dream Nearly four decades have passed Since a visionary of integrity and honour Had a dream that shook the planet. Confronting Caucasian dominance and assumption of mastery, His demand for the recognition of human equality Released the spirit of emancipation. A new Millennium calls for a heroic effort To encourage Mankind to make a solemn affirmation Of tolerance, peace and freedom for all. The time has come to go BEYOND THE DREAM. Rose-Mary Gower 2001
